(So very excited for April!)

APRIL 12, 2012

Portlanders please join me at PDneXt, a monthly event I throw with fellow producers Danny Corn, Graintable and Plumblyne.  PDneXt is an idea, a sound, a community of people who are exploring the possibilities of what is "next" in electronic music. Join us as we look to create something special for Portland's electronic music community. This month's special guests are Cosmic Revenge and Quarry.

FREE DOWNLOAD! A Way To Love Me (devonwho remix)

So completely honored and excited to have Portland's own devonwho remix a track for me.  Here's more about it: DOWNLOAD HERE

Portland beat maker and vocalist Natasha Kmeto has been on the upswing since the release of her latest album Expressor. Her live performances have been making waves, most notably supporting legendary acts such as Morcheeba, Meat Beat Manifesto, and making her debut appearance at LA’s groundbreaking Low End Theory club night. Portland’s foremost authority on beat music, devonwho took one of the more sultry tracks off of Expressor and flipped it into a deeply hypnotic and emotive remix that let’s his meticulous production stand tall while keeping the intended feeling of the Natasha’s vocals intact. Overall a fine demonstration of what PDX has to offer.

Dropping Gems Compliation to Benefit The American Cancer Society

I am honored and proud to have contributed to a compilation being released by the Dropping Gems crew here in Portland.

Here's some info about the compilation:

"Dropping Gems is proud to announce the release of the compilation album Gem Drops. As a central goal of the project, 100% of the revenue from Gem Drops will be donated to the American Cancer Society to support cancer research.

We’ve assembled 21 tracks of amazing new material that expresses everything we love about experimental electronic hip-hop-inspired music today. Artists featured include Shigeto, Devonwho, Sumsun, Natasha Kmeto, and The Great Mundane, just to name a few. We went to those we trust: friends, family, and artists from all corners of the U.S. who push boundaries and infuse their work with heart and soul. Gem Drops brings together a diverse array of styles, but remains focused on spotlighting the kind of future-sound sensibility that makes modern music worth listening to.

The album is available now as a "name your price/donation" download @ http://droppinggems.bandcamp.com/album/gem-drops. We will also have a very limited run of handmade CD's with artwork available for those who donate $15 or more."
